The ASU knows that our Delegates perform invaluable work representing members in their workplaces, so we’re committed to providing education and training to ensure you have the time, skills, knowledge and confidence to work effectively. To this end we’ve redesigned our training courses to meet our members’ current needs.
Core skills for delegates and activists
This course is aimed at new union delegates, providing the skills and confidence to represent members effectively and help build the union.
Organising for EBAs
This level 2 course assists delegates in the important work of organising their workplace prior to an EBA negotiation. The union’s success in bargaining is contingent upon a strong and united workplace, so this course is a pre-requisite for Negotiating for EBAs.
Negotiating for EBAs
Delegates must have completed Organising for EBAs to apply for this course. Negotiating for EBAs provides delegates with important information about the bargaining process and confers the skills needed for effective negotiations.
Airlines Strategic Planning
This course is for delegates in the airlines industry, and will be completed by each airline workplace in turn.
