ASU members and Malaysia Airlines staff have been meeting to discuss the position put to Malaysia management in an attempt to negotiate an agreement which would deliver fair and reasonable wages over the next three years.

ASU officials, Delegates and JCC representatives have met withMalaysia Airlines management to commence negotiations toreplace your current agreement hich expired on 21 August 2008.
Even though your agreement has expired in date, it continues to apply toall employees until such time as either variation to the current agreement or a new agreement is negotiated.

Malaysian Airlines has announced the total loss of 30 jobs at Melbourne and Sydney airports. The Company has determined they can no longer afford to directly employ. At this time there is no news of any reductions in flights.
